Improve Your Smile With Dental Implants

Just one or two missing teeth can greatly affect the way you look, bite and chew. There are many ways in which you can lose a tooth, replacing the tooth quickly will slow down the bone loss and take the strain off the remaining teeth, helping you maintain a healthy smile.

With Implants at Station Dental we can help bring back your quality of life, comfort and best of all your confidence.

A Dental Implant is a very small but strong post, made of materials which merge with the body, acting like a natural tooth root. An implant acts as a support for a tooth and can be placed at the clinic, meaning you don’t need to travel for the implant placement.

The Dental Implant Process

1. Consultation

An in depth consultation, with Dr Assim Ghaffoor, our Senior Dental Clinician. At this appointment we will provide a thorough dental examination of your existing teeth and gums, where needed we take digital x-rays* from the inside and outside of your mouth.

Dr Assim Ghaffoor will discuss his findings with you and talk about any issues and advise you of your treatment options. This appointment is an ideal opportunity for you to discuss anything about your oral health and appearance which may be concerning you.

At this consultation we may suggest further analysis appointments**, for example; a CT scan may be required to check your bone levels.

We will work closely with you to formulate a bespoke treatment plan and, within seven days of your consultation, you will receive a letter detailing everything we have discussed.

* X-rays have an associated cost from £5.00 – We will always explain why they are needed and confirm you are happy to have then taken.

** Any appointments that take place at another location may have an associated cost which should be discussed with the treatment provider.

2. Implant Placement From £1850

We will place the implant into the jaw bone using local anaesthetic to make the area numb; if you wish, we can provide Dental Sedation to help you relax during your appointment. We will advise you on how long this appointment will be, this treatment is relatively quick, lasting between one and three hours.

The Dental Implant Process

3. Healing Phase

Depending on your treatment this can be a period of between six weeks and a few months. During this time the implant bonds with your bone sitting securely in place.

4. Restoration From £180

Once the healing phase is complete and the implant has bonded with your bone, we take detailed moulds showing the position if your implants. These are sent off to the dental laboratory where your final teeth are designed.

4. Placing your Restoration From £70

Once in place, your new teeth will look, feel and function as a natural tooth. We give you advice on how to look after your implants and maintain good oral health. Leaving you being able to bite, chew and smile with confidence.
